Frequently asked questions

How many EDT lessons do I need?
Every new learner driver in Ireland must complete 12 Essential Driver Training (EDT) lessons with an approved instructor. We deliver all 12, logged in your official logbook, and include a starter pack and learning materials.
Do you teach manual and automatic?
Yes — we offer both. Automatic lessons are a great option if you prefer a simpler, smoother drive or find manual gears stressful, and are ideal for town and stop-and-go traffic.
Can I hire a car for my driving test?
Absolutely. We provide a well-maintained, fully-insured dual-control car for your test — whether you trained with us or elsewhere. Test-day car hire is €100 including insurance; just let us know your date.
How many lessons for the trailer (B+E) test?
Most learners are test-ready in around five hours of car & trailer lessons. We're proud of our 98.7% B+E pass rate, and we can hire you a trailer (or car & trailer) for the test itself.
Do you offer truck (Category C) training?
Yes. We provide professional Category C rigid truck training in our own fully-equipped lorry with RSA-approved instructors — no need to own a truck. Get in touch for a tailored quote.
Do you provide autism-friendly lessons?
We do. Our instructors are trained to provide a calm, supportive and comfortable environment for neurodivergent learners. Let us know what helps you learn best and we'll tailor your lessons.
